This article explores our firm’s development trajectory, specifically how we’ve managed client and staff expansion. It is relevant to any individual seeking to join our team or a client who wishes to understand our culture and why we can be trusted to deliver on their NetSuite-driven ambitions.
Background
The principles of competency and care are at the core of our firm’s business strategy. I have set out to produce client and staff accomplishments that reflect these values.
Our approach is rooted in a long-term perspective. We prioritize building trust through direct expertise fashioned by a commitment to listen, focus, and make offers to help all underpinned by responsible delivery. While these practices might seem intuitive or obvious, I’ve observed how easily our efforts can be undermined by inadequate planning. I have recurrently watched other similar firms overcommit beyond their capacity, which invariably leads to chronic stress and disappointment.
In gratitude to our clients, our business strategy today has proven to effectively provide premier NetSuite-oriented professional services.
Introducing Paul Higgins
Like many professionals, I receive an overwhelming number of email-based spam messages. However, I appreciate the modern algorithms that filter out irrelevant communications. About a year ago, I received an email from Paul Higgins that successfully bypassed these filters. His message stood out by referencing specifics that resonated with me, demonstrating his adept use of LinkedIn profiles to tailor his communications effectively.
I did not respond to Paul’s first email initially. Six months later, he contacted me again via a natural follow-up. This time, he invited me to participate in his show, which piqued my interest, given my appreciation for long-form podcasts. This led me to wonder about the nature of his show and whether it would align with our firm’s values.

Throughout the interview, Paul guided me through a series of questions tracing our company’s journey from its inception 20 years ago to our current achievements.
Paul aptly titled our episode “Crafting Your Authentic Voice.” The episode below lasts approximately 35 minutes and is available in both podcast audio and video:

Consideration for Our Leadership
Toward the end of the show, Paul asked me an important question. “Knowing what you know now, what is one action you wished you had done sooner?” The answer to this question is to have developed a management team earlier. As I look back on where we sit today, I work to reinforce that we have the right level of intimacy between our people and clients. There is no substitute for careful listening — it takes time and reflection. The key has been to work closely with our most ambitious professionals to help them develop their professional careers against a background of considerations for holding high standards for care. All associates within each of our delivery practices are asked to hold this same orientation.
Fundamentally, as we help our clients implement ERP and ultimately optimize their NetSuite-driven businesses, the real work is leadership — why would anyone be willing to follow us? The response to this question is not to fully conclude — instead, I offer that it is about developing competency and staying open to new practices that engender earned trust as we navigate new situations and concerns. Can we hold the role we must to produce the futures that our clients demand? This orientation for service delivery is relevant to every one of our firm’s professionals.
