Tip: Sorting NetSuite’s User Access Login Role List

General NetSuite

This article is relevant if you are using NetSuite and you have more than one role associated with your login.

Background

For individuals that have access to more than one company and/or role to NetSuite, there are times when you access the upper righthand dropdown menu to access different roles and the list is unsorted.  This can be frustrating.

Fix: Sort NetSuite’s User Access List

To fix the sort list in the dropdown list, do the following:

  1. View all Roles: click the “View all Roles” in the dropdown.  See image.
  2. Sort Heading: now sort on the Company or Role heading to your desired order.

Once you complete the operation, when you return to the standard menu dropdown, it will remember your last sort.

  1. Thanks for sharing, Marty. Incidentally, the 2021.1 release brings significant changes to the roles screen and I wonder if this tip will still hold…

    Thank you Chidi,

Yes, the 2021.1 will apparently change the presentation.
