This article is relevant if you are seeking to quickly set up your NetSuite account to perform SDF based SuiteScript software development.
Background
Since 2018.2, NetSuite has made accounts with Administrator privileges use Two Factor Authentication (2FA). See my article, Making NetSuite Two Factor Authentication (2FA) More Convenient. We now need to work on producing more productive SuiteScript development in Eclipse.
NetSuite’s guidelines suggest creating a hand-crafted SDF Developer Role in your account when using Eclipse for software development. This way, the account does not need to use Two Factor Authentication (2FA). The process will issue a token for you to authenticate Eclipse and then you can develop in a comfortable manner.
Public Available NetSuite SDF Developer Bundle
To help us all get productive quickly, our firm crafted an SDF Bundle you can use to install into your account. This bundle will simply create the SDF Developer role that NetSuite prescribed. We also provide a guideline document, illustrated below here, for how it is used in Eclipse.
To get the bundle, see this link or simply search on the “Prolecto Role Objects” (previous known as Prolecto SDF Developer Role) or “253192” bundle.
Guidelines for Activating the Bundle in Eclipse
Here is the guideline document.
