Learn how to Change NetSuite’s Favorite Icon

This article is relevant if you are seeing problems with NetSuite’s Favorite Icon and you want to return it to the default.

Background

As a consultant, I am in NetSuite all day long. I may be in multiple client systems at any given time. Recently, while working with one of our client’s that uses NetSuite’s SiteBuilder, I somehow inherited the client’s customer facing web site’s Favorite Icon. This became troublesome for me as I need to work effectively all day long in a multi-tabbed browser environment and the images help me quickly find what I am looking for.

Restoring NetSuite’s Favorite Icon

I was challenged to get the Favorite Icon back using Chrome which synchronizes on the many machines I use in my work. To solve this, I did the following:

Download NetSuite’s official Favorite Icon (favicon.ico) to my local file system.
Install the Bookmark Favicon Changer Chrome Extension
Navigate to the troublesome web page.
Click the Favicon Button and indicate that all NetSuite pages need to use this new Favorite Icon.
