I have written a few articles about connecting NetSuite to third party reporting tools which is enabled by the NetSuite ODBC driver. NetSuite has now updated its support for 64-bit drivers with more sophisticated capacities to handle connectivity between both Windows and Linux operating systems. They also appear to have easy to understand reference help information on which driver to use depending on if your reporting tool and operating system is a mix of 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
NetSuite now calls the ODBC driver the SuiteAnalytics Connect Service. You can determine if you have this service activated by logging into NetSuite as an Administrator and then going to Setup -> Company -> View Billing Information and then reviewing the Add-On Modules tab. The service also needs to be enabled in the Enable Features setup menu.
