In a recent client implementation of a Chinese Magento eCommerce site, we lead the integration effort. By leveraging NetSuite forms and the customer center, we were able to leverage built-in NetSuite capacities. See example here. The NetSuite visual interface can be driven to set the user’s language preference. To do this, you set a “locale” or the “setshopperlanguage” parameter when calling NetSuite forms. Likewise, when working with SuiteScript, you can set the ‘language’ field on the entity reference when working with customer records.
