Can’t Find Account in NetSuite Sandbox?

This article is relevant if you have multiple NetSuite Sandbox accounts.

NetSuite Sandbox is a Copy of Production

The NetSuite Sandbox environment is a copy of the Production environment.  You may have multiple NetSuite Accounts in the Sandbox area.  You may experience an issue where a freshly cut Production Account now as a Sandbox is inaccessible.  Here is what to do.

Login to Sandbox with your Production Account

The issue is likely because your Sandbox Password and your Production Password differs.  This can easily happen as NetSuite enforces password change policies.  You need to get them synchronized.

Confirm you can perform this steps at the Sandbox (https://system.sandbox.netsuite.com/)

  1. Login with your email and your Production password.  You should see your freshly cut Production account.  If so, log out.
  2. Login with your email and your Sandbox password.  You should see your other Sandbox accounts.  If so, log out.
  3. Log back into the first one with your Production account.  Change your password by clicking on “Home”,  “Change Password” in Settings portlet.  Now change the Production password to your Sandbox password.
  4. Log out and then log back in.  All your accounts should be accessible.
  5. If all else fails, there is NetSuite Support.

  1. Thanks Marty, I did indeed find it just prior to your post. Turns out one of our developers was working on refreshing it about the same time I found my answer so I wasn’t able to get into it anyway because it was off-line. Go figure!

    Thanks again for the response. Love your postings, one of the better resources for NetSuite answers out there in a wild.

  2. Actually, I am the Administrator of a Netsuite account but when I go to sandbox page there is a blank screen and I cannot see anything there. How do I solve the problem so I can see the sandbox details.
