This article is relevant if you use Google Documents (Docs) and you are having trouble seeing images as they are too small to read or interpret.
Background
Our practice left the Microsoft Office set of tools in 2008 in favor of the Google infrastructure when we organized to become a NetSuite Systems Integrator. We are heavy users of Google Documents and related tools.
One challenge we often face is that we copy and paste images into Google Documents but the images become too small to read. In desperation, we zoom the browser viewport to see the images. I suspect you do to. But there must be a better way?!
How to See Full-Size Google Document Image
It’s not at all obvious what to do to see the images full-size once embedded in Google Documents. But here is what I do to get back to the native image so that I can see and act on them:
While in Google Documents, do the following:
- Right Click the Image and Copy
- Go to Gmail and Draft a New Email Message
- Paste the Image. It’s now in Gmail!
Now we have two options to get to the original image size so you can see it:
- Option 1: Show Image at Original Size
- Option 2: Right click the image and Open in New Tab.
