I have been enthusiastic about the NetSuite Outlook 2.0 client for the promise of two way syncing. Let’s not forget though that this is beta software. The frequency of updates seem to be every 4 to 6 weeks. We recently upgraded from 2.0.142 to 2.0.157. Version 2.0.142 was pretty close. But now we have a number of new issues related to NetSuite generated contact duplicates. Seems that there are a number of new duplicate Outlook entries that have no “Full Name” and missing contact details for every contact that has a linked Company.  The challenge is that we can’t simply delete the duplicate records from Outlook as a way to clean up NetSuite using the sync.  The sync gets rid of both the  duplicate and the good record.
As always, make a good back up of your information when working with the beta software. We’ll work with NetSuite Support to determine how to resolve this.
